IrishLegalDocs.ie ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

What Data We Collect
Document Generation
When you purchase and complete a questionnaire to generate a legal document, we collect the information you provide in the questionnaire (names, addresses, financial details relevant to the document). This data is used solely to generate your document and is deleted from our systems after delivery.
Contract Analysis
When you upload a contract for analysis, we process the contract content to generate your analysis report. Uploaded contracts are deleted within 24 hours of report delivery.
Contact and Newsletter
When you contact us or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name and email address. Newsletter subscriptions are managed through Kit (formerly ConvertKit). You can unsubscribe at any time.
Website Usage
We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our website. This includes pages visited, time spent, and referral sources. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see, store, or have access to your credit card details. Stripe processes your payment data under their own privacy policy.
Legal Basis for Processing
Contract performance - processing questionnaire data to generate your purchased document. Consent - newsletter subscriptions and analytics cookies. Legitimate interest - responding to contact form enquiries and improving our service.
Third Parties
We share data with the following third-party processors, all of which are GDPR compliant: Stripe (payment processing, US - EU-US Data Privacy Framework), Formspree (form submissions, US), Kit (email newsletters, US - Standard Contractual Clauses), Netlify (website hosting, US - Standard Contractual Clauses).
International Transfers
Some of our third-party processors are based in the United States. Transfers are protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses as appropriate.
Data Retention
Questionnaire data: deleted after document delivery (within 24 hours). Uploaded contracts: deleted within 24 hours of report delivery. Contact form data: retained for 12 months. Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data: anonymised and retained for 14 months.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data, request erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@irishlegaldocs.ie. We will respond within one month.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies (session, consent preference) and optional analytics cookies. You can accept or decline analytics cookies via our cookie banner. Your choice is stored for 365 days.
Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption on all pages, process payments through PCI-compliant Stripe, and delete personal data as soon as it is no longer needed. Access to systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (DPC) at www.dataprotection.ie.
